C'est Pas Moi, Je Le Jure! – It's Not Me I Swear!

Ten-year-old Quebec hellraiser Léon (Antoine L'Écuyer, a discovery) acts like he doesn't care about anything, including his own life — his mother rescues him from hanging and other suicide attempts. But when mom splits from dad and heads to Greece to start a new life — it's 1968, and everyone's doing their own thing -- Léon finds himself unmoored and even more self-destructive than before. Impeccable production values help make this portrait of suburban family angst unforgettable.

Ten-year-old Leon is fond of failed suicide attempts, vandalism, and breaking and entering. When his parents announce they are getting a divorce, Leon really starts to misbehave. By turns hilarious and heartbreaking, this Montreal coming-of-age film features a remarkable performance by Antoine L'Ecuyer as an out-of-control hellion desperate for attention and his parents' love.
