Conan is in a town of theives, which is near the Tower of the Elephant. He learns that there seem to be very few guards protecting the tower and the powerful jewel within, yet the local professionals show no intentions to claim it as their own. He heads to the tower to steal its contents, and finds that the single human guard is reinforced by a number of inhuman beasts.
