"The Spies Who Owned Green Lantern" - At Carol's insistence, Hal takes her secretary Betty Sloane to a dancing club, where he is hypnotized by her topaz. Now, in the middle of the night, he types up the day's activities and mails them to a set of spies who want information about a plane he's testing. With Pieface's help, he finds a way to defeat them, but he still needs the help of the Guardians to free him from hypnosis.

"The Plot To Conquer the Universe!" - Hal is on his way to Oa when he is captured by Evil Star. Evil Star and his minions overpower Hal, and leave him trapped inside a bell jar while Evil Star takes his place on Oa before the Guardians.
