"Meets The Angel" - The Angel from the X-Men is passing an atomic bomb test site and is exposed to radiation that changes his personality, making him temporarily evil. Iron Man tries to help, but isn't as manouverable and misses him. The Angel quits the X-Men and tries to attract the evil mutants. The X-Men call the Avengers for help, and Iron Man responds. The only chance to shock the Angel back to himself is to put his own life at risk, so that's what he does.
"Tales of the Watcher: The Saga of the Sneepers" - The first in the "Tales of the Watcher" series of backup stories, this tells of the Sneepers, ruthless conquerors who witness Earth's rapid progress, and fear that humanity will one day overtake them as a dominant force in the galaxy. When they see our development of atomic weapons and what we do with them, they decide to end their attack plans, and merely wait for us to destroy ourselves.
"Strange Encounter" - prose - A man on a cruise gets embroiled in an espionage plot when one of his roommates involves him in a case of mistaken identity.
