The League discover that they, along with places such as museums, have had items stolen from them and replaced with duplicates; in the League's case, it is their weapons that have been stolen. Some of the League track the stolen items to a cave where a thief has been hoarding his treasures. Using the same device he used to steal things, the thief animates several statues that fight the League but they, and the thief are defeated. When the League return to the sanctuary, however, those members who fought the thief become invisible and unconcious. They enlist the help of Hawkgirl who, using a Thanagarian radiation tracker, finds the real criminals and defeats them single handedly, restoring her fellow heroes to their rightful selves.
