Superman uncovers problems with the subway, in which shoddy materials caused an accident. When he investigates the company that built the tunnels, he learns that they are under the influence of someone smart enough to build an invisible car. He tracks down the car (as it vanished with only one building anywhere in sight) only to be captured by the Ultra-Humanite once more. He breaks out of the Humanite's trap once more, but the Ultra-Humanite still manages to escape.
