Superman notices a suicidal man, and intervenes in time to save his life. He learns that gambling has destroyed the man's future, but Superman convinces him not to give up. Meanwhile, Superman wages a one man war on gambling, tearing up the numbers houses and destroying the tables quickly and effortlessly, ending the corruption all the way up to city hall itself.
