Nick Fury is taking the loss of a man last issue very hard, and has the remaining commandos going through an extra grueling training routine. Meanwhile, the German Baron Strucker has a plan for a propoganda victory, and issues a challenge to one on one fighting between himself and Fury. Fury defies orders to meet the challenges, but is drugged while Strucker's men cheat even further. Strucker wins and publishes the photos, and Fury is demoted to private, leaving Dum Dum in charge of the Howlers. They encounter Strucker once more on the road, and this time, the fight is "fair," with both men at their best, and Fury winning with almost no effort.
