A mysterious alien appears aboard the Enterprise, taking control of the ship. Thankfully, he is friendly, and returns control back to the crew upon arrival. Kirk, Spock and McCoy beam down to the planet to better learn about his culture, and everyone is surprised to find the city in ruins.
