Recovering in the satellite, the Justice League watch news reports of the Adaptoids attacking Earth having reasoned that it is humanity that is the root cause of the problems on the planet.Other members of the League, still on Earth, attack the Adaptoids but are defeated and teleported back to the satellite.Trying to decide how to combat them, the League are surprised by Adaptoids teleporting aboard the satellite. As they battle, Hawkman returns from Thanagar, along with Hawkgirl who still suffers from the equalizing disease the League encountered previously. Conataminating both the League and the Adaptoids, Hawkgirl allows the Leaguers to regain some of their strengths while at the same time weakening the Adaptoids who are soundly defeated. The League use Green Lantern to broadcast around the world that the aliens have been defeated and Hawkman and Hawkgirl deposit the Adaptoids on an uninhabited planet.
