With a small and growing band of mutants following him, Magneto liberates a mutant internment camp in the United States, gathering new recruits. But they were ready for him... a sniper looks on with a rifle and bullet fashioned with no metal components. Fortunately, a powerful telepath named Charles Xavier is looking out for Magneto. Both men believe that mutants need a better place in society, but Charles urges that methods other than outright warfare should be used... Until he meets a mutate that Magneto liberated. Learning of the horrors being perpetrated against his own kind in Genosha, Xavier agrees that there can be no answer to that place than warfare.
