A group of kids chemically enhance their intelligence, escape their boarding school and cause disruptions throughout Metropolis.

While investigating a mysterious government operation in Smallville, Clark gets his first exposure to its true goal, kryptonite.

During an unnaturally extreme winter heat wave, Superman is accused of being the cause.

A series of romantic complications unfolds as a chemist sprays the newsroom with a pheromone induced perfume.

To investigate shady meetings between a Congressman and an arms dealer, Lois and Clark go undercover as a honeymooning couple. The experience teaches them a little of what it would be like to share their lives with someone.

Superman flies into space to stop an asteroid headed toward Earth. The impact leaves him with no memory. It's up to Martha and Jonathan to make him remember who he is and how to use his powers before the asteroid wipes out all human life.

Lois witnesses a murder, and writes a story about it. Realizing this will make her a target, Clark and Perry work together to protect Lois, a task made more difficult because Lois does not believe that the killer is coming after her.

A magician is kidnapping and ransoming children. Lois and Clark try and track down the magician, but when Superman confronts the kidnapper, he is hypnotized into thinking that "Wrong is right."

A fugitive hides out with Lois, who believes he is innocent. But Clark fears harboring a fugitive puts her in danger, and on the wrong side of the law. Jonathan moves in with Clark when he begins to suspect Martha is cheating on him.

Clark discovers that the Kryptonian orb contains recordings made by his father, Jor-El. But he has barely begun to explore them when a young thief steals the artifact and sells it to the worst possible buyer: Lex Luthor.

The Metropolis Star begins landing stories before the Daily Planet, with Linda King, an old rival of Lois, getting all the scoops, and convincing Lois that she's getting Clark's attentions as well.

Lex Luthor creates a clone of Superman and teaches him to believe he is meant to kill and succeed the original Superman. Meanwhile, Jimmy suspects Perry is contemplating suicide.

Armed criminals invade the Daily Planet, taking everyone inside hostage, including Clark, Lois, Perry, and Lex Luthor. Clark is unable to use his powers for fear that he will put the others in danger.

When Lois hesitates to accept Lex Luthor's proposal of marriage, citing attachments to her job and friends, she unwittingly gives Lex the motivation to take away from her everything she holds dear.

Clark, Perry, Jimmy and Jack start investigating the bombing and sale of the Daily Planet. Meanwhile, Lois and Lex prepare for their big day.
