Catwoman, Vol. 3

Selina wakes up dressed in fancy Middle Eastern garb. She remembers being stabbed by Zeiss, but her wounds are healed. She has no idea where she is, but it looks Egyptian influenced. Attempting to escape, she knocks out several guards and scuffles with Omari, who matches her. He says they mean her no harm and asks to explain over dinner. This is the palace of Beti. He is the chosen of Maahes and she is the chosen of Beti; they are to be married to reunite the two fractious factions. Selina refuses, believing in freedom. He tells her she has become faster since touching the Bast statue, which she accepts. He also tells her she cannot make a difference in the East End, and only keeps the wolves at bit for a little while. She still wants to leave, but Omari's brother Hamadi stops her with magic. She wakes up dressed in considerably less - he wedding attire - and chained. But Omari has decided to free her. He sends Turaq for her clothes and opens her chains. They begin to leave, but a guard has told Hamadi and they must fight their way free. Finally, Omari kisses Selina and she passes out. She wakes up on a train bound for Gotham, dressed again in her costume, and sees a newspaper - a month has passed! On a yacht somewhere, Omari and Turaq discuss how things went. Omari believe he will see her again, but until then he must evade his former allies...
