During a rare lull in his journey to become a hero, a summons comes to the Dweller in the Depths pulling Aquaman and his friends back to Atlantis, where Tempest, Orin's old companion, has just arrived. Over the course of this journey, they learn of threat coming from the worshippers of Urlok the Awaited. A threat that could mean destruction for what remains of Atlantis.
