My quick rating - 4.6/10. Right away, I see one of my favorites Robert LaSardo playing the lead vampire in this post-apocalyptic world run by vampires. John Shepard (Costas Mandylor), Vampire Hunter, is one of them. John has to track down and eliminate the master vampire before he gets turned. The flick has a decent mix of fun and silliness, anchored by an entertaining premise. LaSardo shines as the lead vampire in a world overrun by his kind, bringing a menacing presence to the screen that keeps you watching. Opposite him is Mandylor the no-nonsense vampire hunter tasked with taking down the master vampire before he succumbs to the same fate. I also was rather pleased to see Tara Reid playing the Vampire Queen with all the goofiness required to command her scenes. The film wastes no time diving into its action-packed narrative, delivering thrills and spills as John Shepard navigates through a world where survival is the name of the game. From pulse-pounding chase scenes to insanely stupid dialogue, it keeps the adrenaline pumping just long enough to inject some mind-numbing conversation. While the movie's premise may be far-fetched and its execution occasionally veers into the realm of the absurd, there's no denying the sheer entertainment value it provides. Fans of post-apocalyptic fare and vampire thrillers will find plenty to enjoy here, even if they have to suspend their disbelief along the way. It may not be high art, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a bloody good time filled with gore, guts, and a sampling of action. So if you're in the mood for a fun but silly ride through a world overrun by vampires, you can certainly find far worse than this one. IT even scales over the budget bar by featuring some pretty damn good camerawork along the way. Michael Su was keeping a keen eye on the shots which helped the flick rise up above what I know I was expecting.
