The series follows Sookie Stackhouse, a barmaid living in Louisiana who can read people's minds, and how her life is turned upside down when the Vampire Bill, walks into her place of employment two years after vampires 'came out of the coffin' on national television.
Sookie and Jessica attempt to locate a kidnapped Bill, leading to a shocking revelation.
Russell Edgington, the Vampire King of Mississippi, concocts a plan to consolidate his power. Eric remembers his past.
Bill has to decide if he is going to accept the King of Mississippi's offer but in flashbacks, we learn more of his relationship with Lorena.
Sookie receives a distressing call from Bill. She accompanies Alcide to his ex-fiancée's supposed engagement party as she searches for Bill.
Eric's thirst for revenge is reawakened.
Russell captures Sookie and orders Lorena to kill Bill, while Tara remains Franklin's prisoner. Will they be able to escape Mississippi before it's too late?
