How She Move

‘How She Move’ follows Raya Green (Rutina Wesley) after the death of her sister. Raya leaves school and happens upon a stomp crew who are practicing their moves. Raya meets the acquaintance of Bishop (Dwain Murphy) who is the leader of the dance crew, and she then takes on Michelle (Tre Armstrong) in a stomp competition. Raya has a very pushy mother who desperately wants her to get into medical school while Raya is convinved that she would not get through the entry test and wouldn’t be able to pay the tuition fees. Michelle tells Raya about the Stomp Monster competition, which has a prize fund of $50,000. After some resistance Bishop’s crew let her rehearse with them but they soon fall out. Raya finds a way to help Bishop’s crew make the competition so that they can all compete and try and win some big money.
