Stella (Angela Bassett) and her close friend Delilah (Whoopi Goldberg) decide to take a last minute vacation to Jamaica. Stella is a 40 year old mother as well as a successful stock broker from California. While in Jamaica she meets Winston Shakespeare (Taye Diggs), a very attractive local, who happens to be 20 years younger than she. She and Winston are immediately drawn to each other. Only later do they realize the age discrepancy. This whirlwind romance with Winston forces Stella to re-examine her life. She works to find a balance between her duties as a mom, a professional woman and her yearning for love.
