Big Love: Season 1

As Bill prepares for the opening of a new addition to his hardware store chain, he receives bad news about his father's health, and also deals with trying to balance the needs of his three wives.

Barb and Nicki are scandalized when a vigorous lovemaking session between Bill and Margene is overheard by their children. Meanwhile, Bill consults a security expert to guard against the Juniper Creek faction, Roman asks a hospitalized Frank to deliver a message to his son, and Sarah opens up to a co-worker.

Despite being admonished by Bill for her spendthrift ways, Nicki tries to throw an extravagant birthday party at a hotel resort for their five-year-old son Wayne. Meanwhile, Bill installs a "perimeter of defense" around his home, Barb tries to keep the family's secret hidden from their neighbors, Margene stands up for herself, and Bill is alarmed when Home Plus gets an unwanted visitor.

Bill searches for answers to an unsettling dream; Later, on a hunting trip with Ben, he gets the answer for which he's been searching. Barb gets a long-term teaching job; Nicki fends off her creditors; Joey pays Bill a visit with news about Roman.

Bill and Barb's behavior arouses Nicki's suspicions. Meanwhile, Bill and Don get dirt on Roman after placing an anonymous call to Attorney General's 'Polygamy Czar'; and a Home Plus employee comes forward with an unsettling accusation.

Bill makes Roman a settlement proposal. Barb bails out Nicki. Lois sees an opportunity for promotion.

Roman gives the Henrickson clan his answer to Bill's proposal; Barb uncovers Nicki's secret.

Bill's household becomes more crowded; Nicki learns that she is not alone in debt; Bill surprises Roman with a final settlement offer.

Nicki drops a bombshell on Bill. Don falls hard for a woman named Betty. Sarah tells Bill how she really feels.

Bill looks for help against Roman at The Compound; Tancy's baptism day approaches; Wanda goes into labor; Ben's girlfriend pressures him.

The Salt Lake City Leadership League recruits Bill; Barb continues the process to become Mother of the Year; Bill continues to make moves against Roman.

Barb gets caught up in the Mother of the Year ceremony preparations, despite concerns from Nikki. Bill makes his move on Roman at the board meeting, not realizing another development will jeopardize it.
