Big Love
Bill Henrickson seems like a typical suburban husband and father, except for the fact that he has three wives, seven kids and three homes to maintain. The Salt Lake City polygamist has to juggle his families' needs while overseeing his growing chain of home-improvement stores and attempting to reconnect with his fundamentalist relatives.
In the Season Three premiere, Bill pitches a Mormon-friendly casino, with help from Margene. Meanwhile, a block party becomes the battleground for Bill to defend the family against gossip, and for Nicki to defend her life as Roman Grant's daughter.
Bill and his family test out the group-dating waters with Ana, with mixed results. Bill presses ahead with his unlikely courtship of Jerry Flute, despite a sizable expense, a crisis in Don's family, and an apparent gaffe by Margene.
As Bill debates what to do with Rhonda, another potential witness, Kathy, goes underground. Frank finds himself in a bind; a revelation from Ana tests Bill's commitment; Margene gets disturbing personal news; Wanda spills a secret about Nicki's past.
After Bill tries to get Alby to break ranks with the Prophet, Roman finally has his day in court. Meanwhile, Nicki struggles with her devotion to her father; Sarah considers her prospects; Adaleen offers Rhonda some compelling reasons not to testify.
Barb, Nicki and Margene bicker over living arrangements; Bill barters for a loan approval; Sarah, Ben, Heather and Franky make a dangerous foray into the heart of Juniper Creek; Roman summons his children to his motel.
The Henricksons embark on a road-trip pilgrimage to a Joseph Smith shrine in Cumorah, NY, where Bill intends to bury a family time capsule in the sacred earth. Along the way, a series of jarring revelations test their limits--and Bill's faith.
It's both the aftermath of Sarah's miscarriage and the preparation for Joey and Kathy's wedding.
Bill urges the DA's office to bring a murder charge against Roman. Bill learns the license hold-up may be due to his brother-in-law Ted--and the church document he bought from Alby. Margene starts a business selling bracelets.
Buoyed by a visit from Barb and Margene, Nicki returns home after getting a call from Bill, but her spirits sag when his intentions become clear. Meanwhile, Barb faces excommunication; and Bill reconsiders his hard-line position on Roman.
Bill convinces Ray Henry to go along with his idea to rescue the Henricksons' niece from kidnappers; Nicki has an unexpected visitor; Alby hatches a deadly plot to consolidate his power; Sarah makes a surprise, shocking announcement.
