Plot

Berry Morgan's older sister, Laura, always got along best with their father, even after he moved out. Their shared interest in politics and world events kept Berry on the outside. After college, Laura decides to work as a school volunteer in South Africa - and, in a nightmare straight from the headlines, is brutally murdered. Laura's death brings Berry's father back into her life, but they are still unable to talk with each other. Then, a year and a half later, he arranges for the two of them to attend Laura's memorial service in Cape town. Afterward, they will tour South Africa.
