Plot

It began with a singularly brutal murder in London ... and with a note that read: "This is the first", with a drawing that showed three mice ... and an oddly familiar bar of music. Of course that was London for you - a locale far removed from Giles and Molly Davis and their guests at snowbound Monkswell Manor. Far removed, that is, until the police call, leaving a cryptic message. Until the phone gooes dead. Until the killer strikes again - to the eerie strains of "Three Blind Mice".
