Plot

The author provides a number of her lace designs, originally with Duchesse in mind, but she says they can all be made in other lace styles as well. She gives examples of a piece done in Duchesse, Carrickmacross, and others.

It has some descriptions of basic stitches in the early section.

Her "pearl butterfly" is done in Duchesse but then also in Carrickmacross and then again as needlelace fillings.

Other examples are Rose Canina, leaves, clover rose, bells, scrolls, circular mat motifs, a cross, wild rose, corners, sprays, a jabot, a lappet or tie, and her titular Arabesque abstract piece.
