Williamson, Al :Al Williamson (American b.1931): Among Al Williamson's most notable works are his science-fiction/heroic fantasy pieces at EC in the fifties, his Flash Gordon comic books for King Comics in the sixties, his long-running comic strip Secret Agent Corrigan in the sixties and seventies, and his Star Wars film adaptations and newspaper strip in the eighties, all of which continued the fine illustrative tradition begun by his artistic idol, Alex Raymond .
