Bottom
Richard Richard & Edward Elizabeth Hitler, two men with no hope of fitting in with society. Two men who will forever fall foul of lifes little jokes, mainly because they are too stupid to avoid them! Adrian Edmondson and Rik Mayall take an anarchic look into the lives of these two friends who are forever threatening, and commiting, violence on each other. This series could be said to be a follow up, of a kind, to The Young Ones. Same stars and same attitude but the young ones are now heading into middle age. A succesful series that spawned three live tours [and three videos of these shows] and a big screen film, Guest House Paradiso. Although the film was not released as such it is advertised as a Bottom film on the video release.
Richie and Eddie outsource their love life to a dating agency, and Richie lands a night with a foreign aristocratic. Surely the two lads can arrange a decent dinner date, right?
Eddie is drunk and Richie is begrudgingly dealing with him, but then a burglar livens up their night. Is there somehow a money making scheme to be made in this?
With their telly taken by bailiffs, Richie and Eddie arrange their own night of culture, well, as cultured as those two could get.
The regulars of The Lamb and Flag learn a red hot tip for a horse race, but Richie and Eddie don't have any money to bet. Perhaps a drunk Falklands veteran with a prosthetic leg could be their solution.
It's Christmas day and Richie is cooking the dinner to which Dave Hedgehog and Spudgun are invited. Dinner is not up to Michelin standard, but Richie's day improves when he finds out he is the son of God.
Richard and Eddie are camping out on Wimbledon Common. Eddie has brought the tin opener but Richie has forgotten the tins. How will they survive? Chocolate Hob-Nobs and hedgehogs may be the solution.
