Kinderen geen bezwaar is a Dutch comedy series which takes place in ' normal' Dutch family. The series mainly revolves about what happens in the family.
Seven years ago Gerard and Maud learned to know each other by means of a contact advertisement. Gerard is approximately 12 years older than Maud. They got married not long after they met. He cooks, brushes and does the laundry, in fact everything in house and Maud works as psychotherapist with practice at their home. Maud has a daughter Julia from her first marriage. Julia is adored Gerard's son Daan, from his 'previous' life. Daan always tries everything to get Julia, but he succeeds seldom.
When Daan and Inke participate in a dance competition, Gerard is immediately enthusiastic. Maud is harder to convince.
Gerard thinks that he and Maud always say the same to each other. Daan decides to take a different approach with Inke.
Julia is back from Spain. According to her, Daan could use some rest. Inke agrees.
Gerard gets outside help to convince Maud of the usefulness of thresholds. Daan is also struggling with his powers of persuasion. His new girlfriend Elise plays very safe.
Maud hears that acquaintances are swapping partners and is intrigued.
Julia returns home, and is not happy. She was a bit with Arthur and is now a bit with Tom. This presents a growing dilemma.
When Maud makes a fuss about paying for Daan's driving lessons, Gerard decides to lend him a hand. After all, you have to learn it from your father. Inke likes to record Daan's progress.
Inke thinks that Daan needs to get rid of his computer addiction.
Julia has turned up again. She doesn't like it anymore: not the study, not the students, and actually not the whole of life. Meanwhile, Gerard is struggling with the tricks of household appliances.
Daan has passed his final exam and is calmly exploring the labor market. Inke takes a more energetic approach and for a moment Maud is under the illusion that she is setting a good example with this.
Inke gives Daan a job in the perfumery, but Daan is afraid of his reputation. Maud's flames explode, but Gerard does not allow her to convince her that her time has come.
Julia comes home again. After she first snapped off on yet another soft copy, she has now hooked up with a real guy. If that turns out to be too much of a good thing, Daan knows how to stand his ground.
Daan's mother comes by unexpectedly and has big plans for him. Everyone has their own mixed feelings about the reason for her visit.
Gerard has once again calculated something, the emotional value of which Maud cannot indicate.
An inoperative shower creates a watershed between the men and the women.
The gentlemen think they have a baby and see their fears confirmed in Maud and Inke's behavior. However, Inke has something else on her mind than measuring Daan.
Gerard and Maud are dropped, while Inke and Daan are having a party.
Grandmother comes to Maud to relieve old pain. Gerard and Daan have now found a lighter way to make life more enjoyable.
Inke and Daan want to go to a pop concert and try to borrow Maud's car. Gerard gives them a hand, but does he know what he is doing?
Maud has casting director Hans Kemna as a client. Gerard sees opportunities for Inke.
Gerard suffers from unwanted email and thinks it is his fault. Meanwhile, Maud starts something with bald men and Inke thinks she is kept out of everything.
Inke has seen the light; a new international women's movement must bring world peace. The Halal Girls are sure to lend a hand.
Gerard thinks that the children should get more exercise and saddles the whole family with this. In the meantime, everyone can also enjoy building Inke's musical career.
Gerard and Daan are so occupied by their party that they practically ignore Maud and Inke. The women's revenge will be sweet.
When Julia moves back home, the tension mounts: who will Daan choose?
Inke and Julia decide to create a nude calender of the whole family for charity.
