The Mad Hatter was nearly killed in an escape attempt, preventing Detectives Driver and MacDonald from learning the truth behind a High School bombing ten years ago. They've recovered the cell phone he used to communicate with the outside world, but it's been submerged in his toilet too long to provide any leads. But a young woman who may be able to fill in the missing pieces arrives at the squadroom.

Bullock is still determined that the Penguin was behind the bombing, though. And even though Sarge and Driver have helped clean up his assault on Cobblepot, he's still got a score to settle for what this case has done to him over the years.
