Life on the streets is portrayed in poems, lyrics, stories, and photographs, by teens who know what drug addiction, anger, fear, and hopelessness are really like.
Youth crime is rising dramatically across the country -- up 124% since 1986 compared with a 40% increase for adults during that time. But a dynamic group of teenagers, under the auspices of L.O.V.E. -- Leave Out ViolencE -- is bucking the trend. Through words and photographs that are haunting, gritty, and beautiful, these kids are trying to help others find their way out of the trap of violence
