The Phantom Stranger explains that the Sun King is feeding across time as well as space, which is why he is a threat to every Shadowpact, but he is uniquely vulnerable here, which is why all Shadowpacts have joined here. Daniel Cassidy finds his old Blue Devil suit, the one he wore as a stuntman before his actual transformation. In Riverrock, Wyoming, the Sun King recieves the last of his sacrifices and crosses, destroying the fleshy form of Doctor Gotham and recreating it as his own new form. He promptly renegs on his agreement to make Jack of Fire regent of Hell; he is bound by no law. Shadowpacts gather to confront him; he commands imps and demons now, and sends them forward. Not far away, Jack of Fire, bitter at Sun King's betrayal, fumes that he'll raise an army and... he's knocked off his feet! His brother, wearing the original Blue Devil suit, wants words!
