Jack of All Trades
American spy Jack Stiles is sent by Thomas Jefferson to the tiny East Indies island of Palau-Palau where he teams up with British agent and inventor Emilia Rothschild to thwart the efforts of Napoleon and France in that region of the world. While acting as Emilia's man-servant, Jack dons the masked garb of the legendary Daring Dragoon and fights the local French Governor as well as thwarting various other schemes against America. This series starring cult-favorite Bruce Campbell and produced by Sam Raimi combined various factors from both of their series: the use of a historical setting (sorta) and quirky humor that Raimi had made famous with Hercules and Xena, a mix of The Wild Wild West Jules Verne-style tech that was used in Campbell's The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., and the wild stunts that were seen in all of these shows. Airing back to back in syndication with another Raimi production, Cleopatra 2525, Jack... lasted two years.
Jack Stiles rescues the niece of President Thomas Jefferson. When the President finds out she has been thanking him in bed, he banishes Jack to Palau-Palau, supposedly to stop Napoleon's plans for world domination. Jack is appalled when he finds out his contact is a woman, but together he and Emilia Rothschild manage to complete their first mission.
A famous French spy has come to Palau-Palau, and Jack and Emilia must capture the message he carries, a list of island artists to be killed for work unacceptable to Napoleon.
Emilia's latest invention, a submarine, comes in handy when the captured Benjamin Franklin is being taken to Napoleon on Blackbeard's ship.
Jack's former partner Kentucky Sue shows up in Palau-Palau, but will her desire to become Mrs. Jack Stiles compromise Jack's effectiveness?
Jack and Emilia must steal back a gold shipment that Governor Croque stole from the U.S.
The Daring Dragoon aka Jack is caught by the French when he rescues captured American Secretary of State James Madison from execution by Napoleon. To avoid execution himself, he must claim to be the best poker player in the world and challenge Napoleon, who will cheat or kill to win.
The special British agent sent to help stop a French invasion turns out to be Emilia's father, who still thinks of her as just a woman.
Napoleon has come to Pulau-Pulau looking for a bride, and he selects Emilia. Can Jack stop the marriage?
Inspector Louis Ribette has been sent to evaluate Governor Croque's performance. Fearful that if he fails, he will be replaced by someone competent, Emilia persuades Jack to masquerade as the governor. When Jack is forced to order the execution of some of the Dragoon's adoring female followers, how can the Dragoon rescue them?
A fake Dragoon has stolen items from the graves in the island mausoleum. When Emilia and Jack discover that the Governor is plotting to destroy the Dragoon's reputation, they plan to scare him straight.
When Croque must satisfy his newly-returned wife or lose the governorship of Palau-Palau, Jack and Emilia accidentally break Emilia's love potion and they must fight its effects in order to complete their mission.
Noted explorers Lewis and Clark land on Palau-Palau and claim it for the U.S. But they have been out of touch for 30 years, think Emilia is an enemy and they must kill the British general -- Croque.
Em and Jack visit a luxury resort to recover the Crown of King George. However, the place turns out to be Marquis de Sade's private S&M haven called the Agony Island. Jack must pretend to be Em's "pet" long enough to recover the crown.
An apparently insane King George III visits Palau-Palau, and Camille plans to have him assassinated to demoralize the British.
