General Nicholas Chase and Cardinal Pelle have accomplished the unthinkable. They have led a military force back through time. But upon arriving, Cardinal Pelle reveals that he plans to use their resources primarily to prop up the Catholic Church. Unwilling to see this grand endeavor go to such a small goal, General Chase executes a coup, taking sole custody of the Eternal Army. Seeking nothing short of an entire re-writing of human history, Chase makes contact with Caesar Constantine on the eve of battle to give him the keys to not only Rome, but the world.
