The crew of the Starship Enterprise (TNG series) faces off with the Borg in the past. The Starship travels back in time to when earth is just developing faster than light (warp) travel. The bridge crew of the enterprise including Captain Jean Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and Commander Riker (Jonathan Franks) must convince the post-apocolypic earth-dwelling inhabitants of earth to continue their persuit of the faster than light travel. Picard must overcome his fear of the Borg and lead a team deep into his own ship which has become overrun by the Borg to defeat the Borg queen. The crew must battle not only for their own lives, but to ensure the historic meeting of the first earthling and the first vulcan which ensures their future. The success of the entire mission finally falls to one decision by Data the android (Brent Spinner) who is tempted by the promises of the Borg to become more Human.
